How To Identify Items Made In China Through Barcodes

I came across this bit of information from a friend.  While it’s not 100%  it does help us.. the consumers in identifying items that are made in the USA vs items made abroad.  With all the food and pet products coming in from China, it’s best to make sure you take a moment to read the label at the grocery store or at WalMart so you the buyer are aware of where your item was made.

Many products today no longer show where an item was made but where the distributor is located.. example.  You might buy a thing of nail polish assuming it’s made in the USA.  (flipping over a bottle of “Finger Paints” polish… The bar-code is 5033102927925) going by what the following information tells me, this item was made in the U.K (England for those who are unsure where the UK is.

I know some people are having issues with pet beds impacting the health of their animals, well this is a great way to find out where the item was manufactured and help pet owners know where the item their pets sleep on was made.

It’s just a matter of taking a moment to flip a box over or read a tag to see where your item is made.  If your pro USA and big on not buying items made in China, this will help you distinguish the origin of your item.

Example Bar-code below:

Below is a listing of bar-code identifiers

690 – 692 – Made In China

00 – 09  – Made in the USA or Canada

30 – 37 – Made In France

40 – 44 – Made In Germany

471 – Made In Taiwan

40 – Made In Japan

50 – Made in the UK (England)

So remember if you wish to buy USA/Canadian Made items… Watch for the first number to be a “O” at the beginning of the bar-code.   Help support American first!

This is one excellent way for each and everyone one of us to support and help keep our own economy running, while creating jobs and helping out our own people first!

Feel free to print this and keep it in your wallet for those times you find yourself shopping and need a little reference guide.

It’s your right to know where the items you purchase are being made, not just distributed from.
Have a lovely Day!!

The Donkey….

The Pastor entered his donkey in a race and it won.

The Pastor was so pleased with the donkey that he entered it in another race and it won again.

The local paper read:

The Bishop was so upset with this kind of publicity that he ordered the Pastor not to enter the donkey in another race.

The next day the local paper headline read:

This was too much for the Bishop so he ordered the Pastor to get rid of the donkey.

The Pastor decided to give it to a Nun in a nearby convent.

The local paper, hearing of the news, posted the following headline the next day:

The Bishop fainted.

He informed the Nun that she would have to get rid of the donkey so she sold it to a farmer for $10.
The next day the paper read:

This was too much for the Bishop so he ordered the Nun to buy back the donkey and lead it to the plains where it could run wild.

The next day the headlines read:

The Bishop was buried the next day.

The moral of the story is . . . being concerned about public opinion can bring you much grief and misery . . even shorten your life.

So be yourself and enjoy life.

Stop worrying about everyone else’s ass and you’ll be a lot happier and live longer!

Have a nice day!

PS try to stay cool in this super hot weather and never leave your pet or children unattended in a car with the windows up.
